Our book hangovers are extreme. Kingdom of Ash lives rent free in my mind, so much so it became our entire personality. Manon unraveled me in ways I couldn’t put into words, so I drew. That's been my best selling design for over 4 years. And that's how Caffeine and Curses came alive.

I draw everything myself, here in Australia. And I have wonderful partners around the world who ship from as close to your home as possible. If you live near a Books-A-Million, you can pop in and see it in person — which still blows my mind a little.

Now we're both crying, right? Again.

Right after this I got to work on a design idea I had. Absolutely hated it. It wasn't bad. It just didn't feel like Manon. So I sobbed my way to bed, then at 4am the design you see today just… was there in my brain.

I did what any unhinged person would do and I got up and headed straight to my iPad. 4 hours later she was done! All before breakfast.

I'd love to say it always plays out like that, but most designs normally take me 10x that.
